Make sure you have any firewall software turned off and/or reconfigure your router to allow all external IP addresses and all ports (*:*) to translate to all internal IP addresses and all ports (192.168.0.*:*). It might look like:

---------------------
Allow *:* -> 192.168.0.*:*
Allow *:* <- 192.168.0.*:*

Might also look like:

---------------------
Allow *:* -> *:*
Allow *:* <- *:*

Basically you want to allow all data from source host (EverQuest2 servers) to connect to your internal destination client (your computer), and all of the data from your internal client (your computer) to connect to the external source host (EverQuest2 servers).

Hope that helps some...

So let me see if I have this right:

You have 3 PCs on your network behind 1 router. (PC1, PC2, PC3)

You have 2+ EverQuest 2 accounts. (A1, A2)

-

With that configuration:

Have you tried both EverQuest 2 accounts (A1 and A2) on only one PC (PC1)?

Or... does 1 PC (PC1) work, while another (PC2) does not work?

-

I'm basically just trying to figure out if it is a problem with one computer or not because I find it rather unlikely that one account would work while another does not if it is on the same computer.

Another thought, are you using a hub or a switch before the router? If you are using a hub and not a switch, the hub may be the culprit as hubs just let packets broadcast all over, while a switch manages the data and eliminates the 'static' from multiple PCs.

Is it possible that you have some type of Port forwarding set up on the Router? I know some routers will only allows access to a specific game to one PC at a time in the network if it requires that a Port be sent to only one machine.

Might want to verify this with the Router's Support. Maybe a firmware can fix it, or maybe you would need a different router. I would need more info to say for sure. What Router is it?

i dont anderstand u say about hub.is the problem in here.how can resolve it?
is about "static" ?

Are you using a Router or a HUB? Are you trying to sign on more than one PC at a time?

Or is it that one game account works and the others don't?

Not sure I get you.

His problem may be simply dialup modem 56K bandwidth;
I can play acceptably at 33.6 Kbps here; for 2 PCs on at a time one hangs a lot while the first runs well. I'd have to suggest minimum 40K bit per second for each PC, so 2 PCs need 80 Kbits per second (64 KB/sec) real speed. I find EQ 2 needs too much concentration to run more than 2 PCs at once, even if I had many more able to run EQ.

For Korea, there's an excellent national broadband; so if he has broadband (cable modem), the next issue is if theres so many people using the service AT THAT MOMENT that lag is an issue (more people means less real bandwidth, less speed at that moment).

There are some web sites that measure throughput at that moment. Try these

(only works in USA only, grrrr)
http://tech.msn.com/downloads/speedtest.armx

(has a UK target, some USA targets)
http://www.toast.net/performance/

(looks like it tests a single site in USA)
http://bandwidthplace.com/speedtest/

and see how you're doing when it seems slow. Close EQ 2, run it and see. Now run it early in the morning and compare the difference...

And finally, heres a useful link:
http://www.internettrafficreport.com/main.htm
double click on the continent to get router useage and ping delay times at different points around the world. This helps plan where to download when you have a choice of international sites, by knowing the last 6 minutes or so traffic in each country, past certain high speed routers.

These links aren't something running in my garage; I look them up using
www.dogpile.com <-- which then queries several search engines in parallel and organizes the results. Not fond of google hijacking the search to reward advertisers. Your opinion may vary.
