I'm posting this because I actually spent hours looking for a bag seller that sold larger than 4 slot bags!
A 6-slot bag called a Tanned Leather Rucksack can be found in Nettleville Hovel at the bank on merchant Baily Dowden Loc. pos654, neg24, pos342. Price 6sp, 40cp.
Also Merchant Caryn Swell under a tent Loc. pos611, neg26, pos383. same price

Seems like buying a 6-slot bag for 6 silver is a bit much. I actually bought two 6-slot bags for 6 silver total off a guy I think made them so maybe you should get into just checking out the brokers a bit and find people selling them.
Heck, you could make your own 6 slot bags with just a few levels of crafting under your belt. I bought a bunch of six slot bags off of a guy on the IoR for 1 silver each. It really helped with my harvesting there.
There are 8 slot backpacks for sale in Qeynos from merchant.
Costs 6 gold though..

You can buy 6 slot leather rucksacks at Crossroads in Commonlands, I believe that is where I got mine... costs a few silver each. I think it was the merchant by the FSR rat.
Maybe I was lucky. On IoR I found a Goblin Bag (worth 6 slots). On one of the mobs I fought. I'm sure you don't neccessarily have to buy one to get one.
no, you can make them as well, I got the goblin bag - it dropped off the 'named' gobby.
If you want to fill up your inventory with 6 slot bags though, you can just go purchase these at a vendor - pretty easy and worth it.

I've seen bags with as many as 12 slots on a merchant, but I can't remember where it was. Very expensive though. If I come across that merchant again I'll post the location.

Free 10 slot bag from A Tour of the Commonlands quest. The quest starter drop is semi-rare but not hard to get. I've found it on the bones outside WC and monitor lizards. Takes about 30 minutes to complete the quest (there's a list of /loc's in the above link towards the bottom).

A merchant in the Stonestair Bywater also sells them.

Sneed Galliway in North Qeynos sells 6,8,10 and 12 slot bags. His shop is a bit north of the Antonica gate.
Right now I've got all 6 of my inventory slots filled with 6 slot bags, and my bank is full of 6-8 slot Elm Strongboxes, I plan on replacing those soon with 10-12 slot maple strong boxes
The only problem with the 6 slot bags referred to by the original poster is they weigh 6 lbs each. But they are handy until you can make something better yourself.
