Colour is proper spelling of the word before it was Americanized. And the game is a world-wide game, not juat an American game. Get with the program!!

Not sure what that was all about. I can't seem a mention of the word 'colour' in his post. Did I miss something?

Anyway, shame on you for demanding people spell words the American way. Of course EQ is a game developed in the US, but what that has to do with different ways of spelling a word I don't know!

But, for your info...DRHKerr is completely right. Colour was the original spelling of the word and is used in the UK (and who knows maybe canada and australia?) and was simple altered by use in the US. I'm not for one minute saying 'color' is wrong...of course it isn't...it's just different. Next thing you'll be telling us that houses get 'burglarized' instead of 'burgled', 'humour' is spelt 'humor' and that you never 'realized' instead of 'realised'. Lol

take care

Don't spell color colour and don't spell armor armour. :P

(I'm only kidding, but I really couldn't resist).

Really who cares? It's English and we Americans know the Brits have fancier spellings of some words (centre for center, etc...), why make a big deal about it?

At least we can read and understand what they say, which is a far cry from the 1337 D00D5 out there.
