Calling all Scholars and SagesFollow

I am a bit confused....sorta.

I am rapidly approaching Sage Status and have noticed the very wid variaty of prices people are selling APP3 and Adept3 Scrolls for. I have been trying to find a happy medium but to no avail everyone wants to complain about pricing. I mean WTF? I sure as hell am not gonna take a loss when selling these things after slaving to make them. Do people realize it does require time and money to raise your levels or Artisan and so on?

I guess my question is what are the average prices people are paying for lvl 15+ App3 I know the lower ones are mass produced so I can understand a small fee for those considering the materials dont cost anything really. But then you have the others that say hey this one is selling for 5sp why are charging so much? I have to reply those are lower level spells that require less skill and cheap materials. They never buy it and I lose business. Can anyone tell me what are the going prices for other app3 and Adept3 stuff on your servers apparently my server is full of cheap skates.

Ok then if you all want to post your selling prices here for App3 Runes and Scrolls also Adept3.

App3 lvl 15+ 20-25sp
App3 lvl 1-14 5-15sp

Adept3 are reserved for those clients that need a specific need met and of course for the right price. I don't pre-fabricate these as they are a rare commodity atm but yes my skill is high enough to do so.

Anyone else care to share we'll see if we can't find a happy medium.

Tier 1 App3 are 2.5-6sp (high supply, high demand)
Tier 2 App3 are 30sp+ on Freeport/runnyeye (very low supply, very low demand)

IMO the costs to produce tier2 app3 are higher at the moment than they will be in the future. Adept I will come down in price (as an accumulating droped item) and exchange of required components for tier2 App3 will increase, leaving Tier2 App3 in the 10-20sp range they should be in.

As for people complaining about prices, that is simply solved by selling /afk. The average player has no conception of the time and costs of making Tier2 App3 scrolls and they are not buying. When 15sp becomes meaningless to the average player they will buy these.

It makes you wonder how many people are you grouping with that are still using apprentice I skills? --- Most of them. Partly this is a problem in SOE's spell descriptions. Unless you parse, where does it tell you that Apprentice III does more damage than Apprentice I? Where does it tell you that resists are higher on AppI than App3? Sony excells at keeping information from the player, and here they have gone just a little bit too far.

Thats because most of us make Adept3 made-to-order since the ink is so rare right now. You dont want to make one and sit on it besides an adept3 is a little more than most on our server so you want to form fit those spells as to not waste it on someone who cant afford it.

On another note they are selling for 1-3g on Unrest when they do sell.

The Rough Coral or Raw silver can be mined in the CL from Wind Swept Rock. These items are very very rare so beware its not something you will find on a daily basis. Myself I have 5 other RL friends in other trades that support each other. Kinda like a static Artisan party. We all go out and collect our own supplies and any Raw Silver or Coral I get to make the ink for the Adept3. Just because you have the recipe doesn't mean you can successfully make it. It requires alot of skill to scribe an adept 3 so take your time and get that skill up. Anyway Good Luck in your adventures.

Thanx alot man..i was really going mental on this...i been mining those but have yet to come across silver or coral...ill keep on trying tho ;;...i assume the higher your skill the more likely you are to mine these.
