Wholesaler Quest questionFollow

Does anyone know how to get a wholesaler quest to register items you already have on you, before taking the quest? At the moment I have a quest for 15 rough agates, and I had 9 from a previous mining expedition. The quest does not recognize the fact that I have these 9 agates already, yet when buying one from a player it'll ding up and accept that as one for the quest. The only way I've been told right now that I can get them to register is if I have another player give my agates to me..one at a time. I've already come across 3 quests between 2 of my characters that I already have the items for...yet I cant use them!

So, my question is, does anyone know if there is any trick to getting previously harvested items to register for a wholesaler quest? Without using another person? Thanks in advance :)

Not sure if it works but you could try putting them into your bank and taking them back out? I know the player to player exchange does but maybe it simply needs to leave your on-person inventory and put back in.

Maybe this works,

You can not, as far as I can tell. The Quest is to go out and aquire 15 of x, not already have 15 of x in your inventory.

You can Aquire items by Harvesting them (design) or buying them off the Broker (? May be fixed shortly).

Items already in your inventory do not help you at all.

Edit:
Items in your inventory do not help, but its reported that you can trade them to a player and have them trade it back to you.

I posted this in another thread so I thought I would put it here too.

Note: You CAN NOT use items already in your inventory as far as I have seen, you must gather or purchase them after the work order is given to you.

Actually you can. But it takes another person to help. Basically you give the items you want counted to a friend, and have him trade them back to you 1 at a time...ding quest item per trade! This is not an exploit because you still need all 15 to turn in to finish the quests. Just a way to use items you already harvested before you got the quest.

To make it faster, have them divide the 1 stack of 15 into 6 different stacks. Like 2/3/3/3/3/2 - and have them hand you 6 individual pieces per trade (6 slots in the trade window).

That way it's not a redundant 15 trades, it's only 3. Goes WAY faster.

Hope that made sense.
