Horse Quest? Please SOE

I wonder if a Horse quest exits or perhaps one will be implemented soon. I for one hope to discover a quest for one. Every few levels I go back to the stables just to see if the vendor will give me a quest. Wishful thinking I know.

I do enjoy a challenge for obtaining rewarding things, just so long as it’s possible. But geeze 0_0

Anyone else agree?

Yes i'd definitely like to see such a quest too. But I think SOE doesn't want to make horses too common, at least at this moment.

I would say it's only a matter of time before people start complaining about Pallys getting horses (even if they are just sprint speed) and we have an imbalance of there being too many Pallys in the game.

I'm level 19 crusader and have completed the Paladin quest and just need a level before I get the horse spell. I chose to go Pally before knowing about that little bonus, but I daresay if i chose again I would be swayed towards it by the horse as I will a lot of other people.

They want it soo bad just buy one. Is it a whistle or something that you buy so you can just summon your horse?

Not sure myself I have been living in crafting hole the last couple weeks I come out to goto the bank and back..lol.

Anyway when I finally come out to do business I guess I can check.

Take Care see you all when I a top level Sage.

sorry to say the horse spell at 20 is just a fluff spell if you read up you will se it is in the fun spells the horse runs same speed as toon not even as fast as sprint or jboots which jboots got nerfed to be just in between run and sprint so they arent that good either to actually have the speed bonuses of a horse you have to buy a horse oh well i never got to have a horse in eq1 and with rent and the low wages in eq2 i dont see me having a horse here either just to much equipment food spells etc etc to pay for before i get a horse and now i find out that sow as well as all other buffs you must be in group to give someone how i will miss giving sow to everyone i meet and free buffs to strangers oh well i still love both eq1 and 2

Actually, the paladin / shadowknight level 20 horse does give a bit of a run speed bonus. Let me dig up the post that Moorgard states this. (Will edit when I find it.)

Edit:
Found the post by Moorgard on the main boards.

As for the horse prices... Yes, they run from like 4 platinum on, being faster the more you pay. You basically buy a whistle that resides in your activatable slots. The higher your guild level, the less the prices are, and the more horses that are available. Also, if you have a higher level guild, I believe you can buy horses for a combined status point / coin, making them much cheaper (coin wise.) A level 30 guild also can purchase Flying Carpets (seen in the Mages Tower in SQ) or Spirit Steeds (seen in the Temple of Life.)

Edit:

Here is the post by a dev about the guild bonuses for higher levels. It has the levels that prices are reduced and the horses that will be available for higher level guilds.

Yeah, you get that lovely sprint bonus, just like JBoots. And from what I hear there is no whistle, just an ocarina tune..

Ummmm no? The reason why? Only the uber guilds would have and rest would not. The whole point of a horse is to show that you have something nice that not everyone in a there brother can get.

Save your money you can then buy a horse wouldn't that be nice?
