As a monk, where can I buy my level 20 "fun spell". Its called Silent Fist Kata.

please. They are all gotten at 20, by all classes, and must be purchased. These are spells like the paladin/shadowknight horse or the summoner fire form. If you've gotten one, please post where.

For Qeynos, the trainers that sell fun skills, along with other 20+ appIIs, are in Elddar Grove, between the entrances to Qeynos Harbor and North Qeynos.

they are in multiple locations in the city and villages. look for the scribe or trainer that sells you apprentice II abilities..it costs around 14 silver to buy it.

the cleric ones completely and totally sucks by the way. i'm kind of upset that other classes have fun abilities that actually alter a stat...or like pallys/SKs that have a horse that increases run speed.

the cleric ability makes someone bow to you. period. and it only works on people that are 1) lower level than you and 2) are grouped with you.

completely useless.

If you go Inquisitor....it makes them cringe, not bow. Not particularly useful...but meh, good for me as an RP'er, I guess. A good laugh if nothing else.

Would rather have a black evil horse of doom though. That'd be sweet.

Well,

I’ll try to give you my experience as most in depth as possible.

First I’ll start on why I selected a bard. In a previous mmo that I played I choose something that I enjoyed. Although I did it love it, the class wasn’t required and I competed with many other classes for a spot in a party.

So Bard sounded like a good choice, I’m not one to enjoy healing, and I have little experience with tanking. So Bard seemed at least to me a class that parties will desire.

I quickly started to enjoy the life as a Bard. The power regen song reduces down time and the large array of abilities that I get always keeps it interesting. While fighting a mob there is always some sort ability that I can use on it so I am constantly busy. With all the things to do I’m normally concentrating on my hot bars rather then watching the fight as there’s so much to do. Which imo is great. Before on the other mmo I would just stand there punching the thing with a few options here or there.

At level 20 you get to decided your path. You may become a Dirk which uses offensive songs towards the mobs or you can be a Troubadours. When I was given this choice I went with Troubadours. Again I figured if I choose Dirk that will put me in the dime a dozen list. Selecting to be a Troubadours in my mind would make me more desirable as troubadours as designed to support parties and reduce down time.

Now that I am level 22 here’s what I can tell you. I very much enjoy the job and it keeps you busy. It’s also rewarding knowing your reducing downtime, weaking the mob with songs so you kill them faster and on top of that you do great damage to my surprise. If you get a little crazy and start spamming some of your abilities you’ll get hate in a hurry (which just wastes the mages mana). It’s like an art balancing how many abilities should you do and when. But it’s not difficult.

As far as party invites? Not good. I have to build a party if I want to have one, that’s just the bottom line. I’ve been LFG for three days now with no party (I didn’t build one). I figured it’s because of the following. Either no one realizes how Troubadours help a party and don’t understand what they are. Or B all the different classes have something special to offer at this level that’s just as rewarding.

Bit disappointed on my selection. But not with the class. The reason being prior to this game I spent just about three months LFG and trying to built one with no avail. I wanted to make sure to select a class on this game that is desirable to others so that I may enjoy myself.

I did level a mage to level 9, and I have a fighter now at level 8. I think I may be switching to the tank permanently. I may not enjoy the job as much but it is required in a party and that’s what I’m really looking for. Pretty much just looking for a class (besides a healer) to ensure history doesn’t repeat it’s self like in the last game.

In closing I have to say Troubadours is awesome and I highly enjoy playing it. I know I will switch back and forth between the two because it’s just that fun to play.
