Anyone else seen Gustfeather by the Freeport Station? Got one shotted by him trying to make it to nek station last night with my 13 Predator (550+ damage).

LOL, I had no idea what happened until it was all over. I was laughing too hard to explain to the group why I'd suddenly died. I don't think any of them believed me. I'm having Sea Horror flashbacks from the FFXI ferry.

Yep, Gustfeather is its name. I see it occasionally between Crossroads and FP Grif Station.

LOL, well I didn't even see it until I was dead. Does it fly around and swoop down on unsuspecting newbs or did I just run to close to it and not even see it?

Sound like he's a decendent of GrimFeather... :)

I think all the zones have a 'Killer' that roams around from time to time. I (14th level) was in Oakmyst Forest yesterday and a HUGE bear named 'Grubdigger' wandered by. First time I had ever seen him; and I have spent a lot of time in Oakmyst. The bear was a Double-Up Yellow con to me at 14th! Ouch. So, keep an eye open and scan your surroundings. You never know what is lurking around out there. Hungry. For a Snack - YOU!

I saw the "Boss Mob" in the Graveyard zone.. It was a double up-arrow named 'a Fallen Knight' (I believe that was his name). He was wandering slowly around. I decided to try him out and ran to the zone shortly after... (I think I was around lvl 13-14 at the time)

Yeah, I've seen three different "boss monster" types. They're all freaking huge and all seemed to spawn more or less randomly.

Gustfeather - saw him fly by in the Commonlands and got the hell out of there.

Gloomsomething - gigantic hound that spawned in the Ruins. It ate me and several other players before some high levels swooped in and killed it.

Muck Raker - huge crab in Sunken City. At level 11 Predator it was a white ^^ con. I grouped with a 10 cleric and 10 mage and we took it down barely. Dropped a pretty cool helm, but I can't remember the stats.

I must say, those three encounters have been among the highlights of my EQ2 experience. I can't wait to get out in the world more and see more enemies like them.

Nektulos has a named Beaver, i think a named bear, and some named undead that looked nasty (most named I saw while exploring were at least level 25, and went up to 35).
