I am currently a lvl 13 outfitter and lvl 12 schoal on another char. Now I have come to a point where I have other books I need that are dropped from mobs.I know I have missed a few on LOR I am looking more for the lvl 10+ books. WHat drop these and where. THanks for the help.

But the ones on isle of refuge are really easy to get so maybe you shuld start there

Really easy to get on IOR? Then it must just be me. Four toons all past IOR age, and while I was there I think I ran into 3-4 books off mobs. And two of the toons were waaay past the 220% barrier.

So all drops are random for the books. So it could be an orc skeleten or even a dingy rat. Damn that makes things real hard. Oh well thanks for the info.
Level 10-19 books are sold in scholar/outfitter/craftsman society merchants (not in your wholesaler society). Scroll all the way to the bottom of the merchant's list - that's where I found them.
Other specialty books are drops, but the essentials are merchant bought.

I have to agree that the drops are Random. I have 2 book and 3 recipe drops off of mobs. That was just my class (scholar) and does not include the 15+ we have had drop for other classes (leather, weapons, wood working, and baking to name a few. If you want a better chance for a chest drop take on group mobs.

i have never found a book from IoR on anything other than a goblin protector. maybe its just my luck, but I keep a maxed L6 toon on the island at all times to hunt for the books.
I have a toon on IOR that will not leave till I get the books that drop only there. It's funny, when he kills something I get a notice that says I can not get any more exp till I get my citisanship, and I think to myself Im not here to level Im here to farm books.
There's got to be a better way to do this. Like when you do quests for your workshop, after a few you should be able to buy them from the vender in the workshop.
