Uhhhh... did someone say balls? huh huh...

Serious side note:

Adiemus.. you're way too smart to waste your time on this board.. go work for the gov't or something where your knowledge and debate ability can come of use. Go be an ambassador to a European country since it seems European history is your thing.

And trying to get your point across to a guy who calls the entire Florida Latin population a bunch of sp#$@ and exiled Cubans criminals is completely useless. It's obvious he's learning his history from Scarface instead of a History textbook, which until college, you bearly get any real semi unbiased knowledge anyway. Not to mention he mispelled the word. Hey army guy who's 17... I highly recommmend reading the People's History of the United States.. very very boring.. but very very intersting to read history from as close to a common man's perspective as possible. A common man, like you and I. Check it out.. it's a good time.

Bring out yer dead... ding.... bring out yer dead... ding..
Come ere.. I'll bite ya legs off... arrrrr

lol real bag of worms got open with this one eh ?

All my guild are americans (bar a friend of mine) and they are hilarous.

Whilst the history lesson has been fun it's a little uncalled for and a tad out of context. Dudes chill out

Darn those Americans, can't stand them. They all have such dry humor.

OK, seriously,

How do all these fourms start with one topic and end up miles away.

I am from NJ, the state that is more bashed than any other in movies.

I think you are in the wrong guild. I am not in a guild, but I have tons of fun. I do admit, some people are dry, childish, or just rude. If you find this, just ignore them and find new people.

I don't like people that I invite to a group, then ask where we are, then just leave the group without a word cause they don't want to walk there. Just say you don't want to adventure there, no harm done.

Sometimes people need to take this for a game. I have found myself playing game with my friends like, Who can get the biggest train. Of course, we keep the train away from other people, but have fun a bit.

Thanks for the kind words Jobago. They are much appreciated.

Actually, I generally find that discussions on boards like these tend to be a cut above what you'd find on the likes of MoveOn.org or FreeRepublic.org. It's hard to believe I know but that's been my experience. When you post on either of those two boards, you're generally 'preaching to the choir' or you elicit the worst kind of responses from people on the other side. Folks here tend to be a >bit< more civil. Sure, there are exceptions but aren't there some in just about every situation?

At any rate, I realize that I've almost singlehandedly dragged this topic in a wholly unanticipated direction (though at least to me an enjoyable one). I hope I've at least touched upon the original poster's subject on occasion. I thoroughly enjoy getting to interact with people from all over the world in EQ2. Australians are my personal favorite but I've had the pleasure of grouping with various Scandanavians, Germans, English, Orientals (particularly Koreans) and many others. Occasionally, there has been a bit of a language barrier to overcome but we've managed. The fact that we're all playing the same game helps to break the ice by giving us something in common. I grow and learn everytime I get the chance to group with someone outside the US and I'm grateful to have that opportunity.

About the only people I have real trouble with are those darn Canadians. They get me hooked on hockey and then can't get a labor agreement finalized so I have a serious case of PWS (Puck Withdrawal Syndrome). Send Don Cherry in to cuss both sides out and get a deal done!

I bag to differ Ohio is bashed on a whole helluva lot more then anyone realizes. Movies love to pick on us Ohioans for some unknown reason (they think were hicks, we arent, thats W.V.), especially Cleveland.
