I've seen some insane prices going around lately. People have been putting stuff up for Platinum (!!!) and a lot of gold pieces. Stuff that is lowbie gear...not even that great. Rhino Hide Tunic for example. Meh, it's ok... but it's not worth 5 gold and 80 coppers. Hell no. And there was a cap I saw someone put up for like 8 plats.

Does anyone even HAVE plat yet? And the cap was nice, but I'd not have charged over 35 silver for it myself. The point is, yes...we all want to make money. But ripping people off is just not the way to do it... in the end it'll hurt you too because you'll end up paying jacked up prices for lowbie gear as well.

Coming from an evil Iksar... guys, come on. Greedy is good but keep it at a normal level that isn't FFXI style. It's way too early in the game to be trying to rip people off of their very hard earned gold ... plat?? oh come on.

People are so greedy, I just don't get it. I saw someone selling a crafting book for 4p yesterday. I left them a message about how they should reconsider as I am pretty sure nobody has 4p and if they do, they sure as heck wouldn't spend it all on ONE crafting book. The guy sent me a message back saying I was dumb and that's what they were going for on his old server. Whatever.

I so hate the "used car" salesmen too. Look, I don't mind someone making a few silver on an Adept 1. However, I can't stand the people that auction the sale with no price. Then you ask how much and there like make offer, make offer. I got 5 offers already, make yours we will see how it stacks up with the other offers I got. We all need the Adepts. Mine go up for 10s, whoever, whatever it is, it's going for 10s.

That is my promise to you. ADEPT 1 = 10s.

That is all.

Heh user card salesman, never thought about that :) I came across alot of those types of people in EQ1, and of the few I ever contacted I would tell them I had no real idea what it cost. The standard response back then was *If you don't know the price, you can't afford it*. Kinda funny too, cuz more than likely I could :) Rich druid I was...heh...generally speaking though, I rarely buy from /auction-ers. I like the nice quiet no-haggle happiness of the player market system much better.

Edit - And if you truly are gonna sell ALL adept 1's for 10 silver, please come to the Blackburrow server :D Level 20 + adept 1's for that price..wooooo steal of the century heh.

you know on my old server my level 6 priest use to solo Vox for fun.....ahem sorry i was in my own dillusional world.

Anyway its like these people are bound and determined to tank the economy in a measily 3 weeks of the game being live.Just undercut them, because these items will never sell especialily with people offering the same or better items for way cheaper....heh, their loss and our gain eh? Gotta love stupid people.

Yes, prices are getting out of hand. On the AB server i was selling Maple and iorn for 20c for most the first week. Now i see people asking 30S for the same stuff. I just keep selling everything i get and theirs stays in the bank. Making a profit and ripping people off is two differnt things.

I have come accross some nice drops and have sold them for a fair price. Everybody knows that Coral is a rare find. Well i came across 5 of them in one day. I sold them for 25S ea and was happy to see that they went faster then anything else i had. Another person had theirs for 10G and to this day it is still there, he/she has not sold it.

Lets keep the prices down to a normal rate, don't want stuff costing 1 million gold that you can get if you just work a little for it.

Also keep in mind that the game is brand new, with very little to tell people how much stuff is worth. This kind of thing will equalize, I think.

I often check the prices of stuff I plan to sell to see how others are pricing it. Usually people are trying to sell for outrageous prices. I sell all tier1 resources for 5cp and all tier2 resources for 22cp. they seel well. the only things i price up are electrum and tubers which i always price lower than the lowest current price and always sell. Last night I made 65sp so I'm pretty happy :)

Not everyone is greedy. Last night I saw an /ooc for adept 1 Silent Blade, which I was looking for. I sent a tell and he told me he was looking for 10s. I replied back that it was a fair price, but I only had 6s.....so he said what he really needed was an extra bag (and 6s). Seemed like a nice fair trade to me, and one I will remember when I help someone out one day.
