Difference in Skills? And Armor PricesFollow

Sorry if this is Repeat. Was Searching but couldnt really find anything on Skills. I noticed there were Apprentice Adepts, and Masters? What is the difference Between them all? I looked up some and they all have same times and skill from what Ive Seen. Im still using ApprenticeII skills since I could Buy them. Was gonna go to AdeptIs since Alot of People have been finding them. But then Read Some people Can make AdeptIIIs. I figure it would be best for me to go from ApprenIIs to AdeptIIIs but cost me more. But would It Be a waste of money for me to go From apprenticeIIs to AdeptIs?

Also just looked into Steel Vanguard armor and Carbonite PlateMail. Both have same AC now, And same AC at lv 30 but SteelVanguard Cost 2s Less for each piece. All at same Person. Was wondering Why? And Whats best Armor a Guardian could have at lvl 20, Even most Expensive.

Okay Spells fall in three categories: Apprentice, Adept, and Master. Each category has 4 levels (although not all are implemented in game yet). So Apprentice 1 is the lowest category and lowest level (this version of spell you get automatically). If you buy an Apprentice 3 version of an Apprentice 1 spell, once scribe you will automatically cast the lvl 3 version. The basic stats of the spell don't change (except power to cast may be different from Apprentice->Adept->Master). The effects from different levels will be minor (i.e. App1 shield spell gives +10 AC, App3 version gives you +15 AC), but you will definitely notice going from App1 to Adept 3 (same shield spell from Ad3 version gives +25 AC and lasts 30% longer).

Okay, going from App3 to an Adept1. I would if the spell didn't cost too much (look at server value for an Adept 3 version, if the Adept 1 is roughly about half or less, get it unless you are going get the Adept 3). While the upgrade isn't that major, usually the Adept(s) will give longer durations which tend to be worth the money (please realize, this is generalization, actual benefits will vary per spell). Going from App3 to Adept3, very much worth the money.

Armor: sorry, not familiar with them.

It seems as though not all skills drop Adept I versions from mobs yet and the ones that do are fairly common, so just by grouping you should be able to get the few that are out there. This is just from watching the markets and knowing what I have looted from mobs. I have never seen any adept skills on the market other than the ones I already have. It's possible that for most of the adept skills they want you to buy them from players anyway so you'll be forced to go straight to Adept III anyway. If you really can't get them from loot, then yes app II to adept I is probably worth the 10s that it should cost to get one (anything over 10s is overpriced even thought some ppl are trying to charge 50).
As for the armor, 2s is really not much money and is probably just meant to make steel vanguard more common than carbonite (making carbonite a sort of status armor). The best armor you can have is your class quest armor, search around the city for an NPC that gives you a quest for heavy armor. It's hard to do all of them, but well worth it. As for buyable armor the Vanguard/Carbonite are probably the best you can get from NPCs.
