about the pirate quest in the ocean, found on a barrel in the shipwreck:ordered to kill 20 pirates in the vicinity

i need help with this quest....are there any items that allow you to breathe underwater other than he aqueous stone? or do u have to bring a druid or shaman everytime? its kinda hard getting a shard 50 ft deep in the waters

also..if possible, does nebody know the reward? is it the key to the locked chest?

heya...i just finished this quest and got 3silver n 22copper

i then got a group to kill mobs around chest, which spawned captain surestout...we killed him and i looted muck worn shoulderpads....but we still cudnt open treasure chest...nebody know how to open it?
