You should be able to install it like EQ to any computer using the same disks. It's the key that is going to make the difference though. You would still have to buy another set of cds for the key code in order install it.

I think the previous thread was a little misleading. The account code applies to the ACCESS, not the install. You can install the program on 15 computers and access your account from each. The code applies to your Station Name and Password and unlocks access to the server. Just like EQ1, the designers realize (or hope) that you may go thru several different computer upgrades in the life of the game. Go ahead and install it on your present computer. When it comes time, just put it on the new one and log in using the same username and pword...all will be fine.

No hes right. Im sorry I didnt make that clear
You can install with the same CDs you just can not access it without a new key code. Go download EQ2 on your comp. You will just need a new key to access it

Which means you STILL need to buy a new set of cds JUST for the key hon :( sorry

I am right. You can see my point if you take your disks to anyone elses comp (with enough juice to run it and internet access) and install the game. then you can log in to your account and play just like at home. The account stays wherever you are on whatever you play it on, home or work. The control is the access, to prevent folks from playing two chars on the same account at the same time. Have fun =)

What hes asking is can he install the account now (prob at work) set up his chars etc then go home, re-install it on his home comp and pick up where he left off. I am 100% sure the answer is yes to this question. I have firsthand experience, not only with EQ1 but also more recently with EQ2. I was unhappy with the performance of my mid-grade system after I started playing EQ2 and decided to upgrade to a new P4HT 3.6ghz system. The game runs great but more importantly I didnt need another set of disks to install on the new comp. The original disks worked fine and it booted up with no difficulty. Once you activate your account with the key its yours for life (or as long as you pay the bills)
Hope this helps =)

Ok let's make this clear ..... I own 3 EQ II games (with Keycodes), You can install the game on as many computers as you want to. But you cannot use the Keycodes more than one time each to make a new SONY account for the servers. I also own two computers which I can use either account on, as long as I only have one character logged onto one account at a time. I hope this helps....So YOu really don't need another game if you are going to use the same account you created at work...just need to download the game again into the new computer, and yes you can do this.
