Trade Skill QuestionFollow

I am a level 11 Outfitter and Im having trouble getting my metalshaping and metal working skills to go up they have been stuck at 36/57 for the last week and no matter how much I work on them they wont go up.......Is there something I am missing or do not know about?

Are you using your crafting spells? I know that my alchemy skills started improving as soon as I started using them. Try that...Also, I know that you can cast multiple spells (even if they arent needed) and it will still give you skill increases. As long as you have power this will bring your skills up even quicker.

Like the man said just use your Skill "Spells" whenever you craft something even if you dont need it.

Ok this may sound really dumb but Ive only had the game a week so youll have to excuse me lol........what crafting spells all I have is my regular combat spells givin after each level and a couple of buff that are combat benificial. I am a level 14 Pally

If you look in your little EQ bar that shows recipes, skills, etc there is one called Knowledge. Click that and you will see your spells, not only your combat spells but also a tab for tradeskill spells that improve your product, help you avoid crit failures etc. Make yourself a hotbar with the ones you use/need crafting. It helps a lot!
