Sorry to start another psot but I am DESPERATE now.
I went through posts here and on eq2 tech boards, I found few posts about the problem but nothign with the solution !!!!
On weekends, and evenings US tiem the game is ubearable to palky on my comp - today I died 7 time (thats SEVEN) while trying to kill diseased ratnogas with lvl 10 cleric - it is insane.
SOmetimes I get few sec lag, sometimes it is as much as 20 and I dont even know what the ..... is going on anymore. Plus in addition to to that I get kicked out to the char select screen every tiem I zone.
I mean it cant be like that - I hear about poeple playing on 900mhz and dial up - they say it is laggy but doable and for me well it is ****!
I run on 2ghz cpu, 1 gig ram dual ddr channel, geforce fx 5700 and 512k broadband connection - everything should be fine

Please if you have any ideas on what to do (besides pulling my hair out) then pleasepost here. Any info would be apreciated !

The first thing I would do in your place is run my defrag program; after that, I'd run any spyware programs I had available, as well as my virus protection. When I have any lag at all, these steps will almost always clear the problem. From your description, it sounds to me as though you're long overdue for a defrag.

FYI - I run a P4 3.0; FX 5200 128 meg vidcard; 768 megs RAM; and a 768 cable connection. I use Spybot Search and Destroy, Ad Aware SE Personal, and Norton anti-virus w/auto updates behind a Microsoft firewall, all on an XP Home platform.

What kind of video card do you have? Have you updated the drivers? 2 more questions to ask yourself. The above post pretty much answers it all.
Another thing you may want to do, which I do at least once a month, is a fresh windows install.
