Master I - dropped spellsFollow

#1 Nov 28 2004 at 5:56 AM Rating: Decent
Before all my friends decided to run off and start on the Guk server without telling me, I had made it to level 16 on the path of wizard and got a dropped Master I Blaze spell that dropped in Black Burrow.

Is / Was this rare? I had to change servers and started over on Guk (which sucks because it goes down all the time and is unstable) and haven't seen a master spell drop since. I'm currently a 15 Shaman now, but was just wondering about the master spell line.

I was able to scribe it when I got it at 14 and started immediately nuking my blaze spell for 130-150 up from about 30-40.

I'm assuming we will also be able to eventually make these as well as up to Master III.

I hate to say this, but Master drops are pretty freaking rare. In a previous post someone stated that it could easily be sold for one piece of platinum. He also said that there were only around 4 other master drops on the server when he got his. Sorry you had to lose that spell when switching servers.

Yeah, you want to hold on to those, even if you can't use them. I wouldn't sell them right away either, I would probably wait another month when people start finding ways to make lots of money, then cash in. The Adept versions of these skills/spells are a lot easier to find, that may have been what you were thinking of.

I still play my Sorcerer some, and yes it was Master I Blaze. The warrior who actually won the lotto gave it to me because I could use it. Which you don't see too often, in this game.

After I scribed it, most people couldn't believe I could. Though I'm the only Sorcerer on the server that I have seen so far that can nuke at level 16 for 150-160 (instant agro usually) which is great when soloing, and even better when groups need me.

I'm waiting until they let us pay to switch servers and I'll pay to move so that I have something else to play when I'm bored of being a shaman.

The problem with the Adept drops, as in anything done by SOE, is that the same adept spells drop over and over and over, no matter what area you go to adventure in. They didn't figure that out with Kunark for YEARS when everyone kept doing /feedback to report that Juggs were only dropping the same spells over and over again (like magician spells up the yingyang) and not some of the others at all. They finally, after two years admitted that there was a coding problem and changed it and now all the spells drop with about the same frequency.

I see this problem already in EQ2. Hope they don't take as long to fix it this time.
