Well, I am planning on being a Guardian. From what I hear, they are THE tank. And that is what a like. Just wondering if there is anyone out there high enough to give me some good insight on this class.
There are several tanks. And trying to find THE tank, wont really work. Each tank will have a certain area where it will shine above the others. You just have to know which setting each will be the best in.

nah guard is MT sry man others can be support tank, or they can can be MT if no guardian but the guard is the main tank
do guardians have ok dmg or are they totaly on the low end and can they duel weild and use 2h weapons

Have not gotten high enough as of yet to reach this title. But Yes Guardian will be the top end tank. The post about different tanks will be better for different task is umm wrong. 3 ranges of tanks and skills. Heavy tank which is guardian will be the meat shield period. The sub tanks will clear add's and things like that. Do a little research on your own and You will see EQ2 designed bascially 3 tanks Heavy Medium and light.
Guardians can DW and 2H but they are not designed as damage dealers, their primary role is meatshield. If you want a damage dealer, choose Bezerker.

At 24 I can say Guardian is the tank. I can tank longer and on harder mobs than other classes can. I have higher HP and more AC and more taunt. I do very little dmg but my 1400 armor unbuffed at 24 and ~300 resist to all is good enough for most mobs.
One more question. Should a guardian go 2handed or 1handed primarily?
I'd imagine having a shield would help in tanking, but the added damage from a 2hander might be better at keeping hate.

can anyone tell me why anyone would be guardian over berserker
