I'm sure this was posted before, but I couldn't find the post, and I'm lazy. Anyways, I typed /claim and got my baby dragon, statue, and my picture, but no boots. Wasn't there some boots you get with the collectors edition to make u run faster? Please help. :)
The Journeyman's boots came with preording the game from Sony or participating stores. It came with a code you'd type in for your account, then it appears under claim.
The boots are not worth the hassel. You can get better items from quests and at level 5 scouts get pathfinding which is faster than the jboots. In other words the boots are crap.
/agree with Vandella...the boots suck, and were a total and complete rip-off. I could sprint without the boots, which is how you have to use them.
is there a spell like sow in eq2?
Lol okay. No worries here. =) Just dunno why I never got them when I claimed my other items.

1) SoW is a druid spell in EQ2
2) Was told the code for the JBoots was sent out with the character making disk for those who had pre-order. If you pre-ordered late, then most likely you didn't get a character disk (and no code for jboots).

Shamans also get Spirit of the Wolf. So, if you're a Druid, Shaman, or Scout of any kind, then you don't really need the version of JBoots that pre-orders got.
I deleted my first character, so I lost mine anyway. I don't notice any real difference.

They are not a total rip-off, and sprinting is not how you use them.
I'm a warrior, we don't get pathfinding. And sprinting uses all of your power.
The boots are an always on spell effect. I keep two pair of boots, one for running, and one for tanking. I love my j-boots, they have saved me often.
