Cool Griffin Glitch Trick!!Follow

This is a cool trick i found when i got my horse. all you have to do is get on your horse and take a ride on the griffin at any of the stations. as soon as you leave the platform cancel the spell for your horse. the griffin disappears and you end up running in mid air extremely fast all the way to the station you chose to travel to. when i found this glitch i nearly died laughing and i hope you all will too. please let me know if there are other mount tricks/glitchs that you find id sure like to see them.

Sounds like lag maybe. Happened to me once, and I did die.

I use third person view all the time and have never been dumped off the griffon prematurely. However, I have experienced the fabled black death glitch (didnt die, just couldnt see, had to reboot my computer because EQ2 froze too), but when I returned i was in the middle of antonica! Still alive and well, but in the middle of no where heh.

I'll have to try this one though, sounds fun :D

Seems misguided griffins are fairly common occurence having just been let off in the top of a tree while playing just a bit ago. Though seems like this is being caused by busy platforms since I had a whole group taking griffins to the same place and all. Just means either some game glitch that needs to be fixed or some griffins that need glasses.

I had to post this, as today I was a victim of the premature dump heh. I didn't fall though, I was just suspended slightly above the tower and about 20 feet from the platform. I used my gate spell, because i wasnt interested in finding out if my level 12 scout could survive the fall :)

My guess on its cause is that it has something to do with having a person riding a griff directly infront of you. If he isn't dumped from the griff in time, you get dumped further back, because two griffons cant be atop one another.

A griffon is a mythical Bird/Lion/some kinda animal hybrid, and in EQ in the Commonlands and Antonica there are griffon towers. At these towers (3 each in strategic places in the zone) you can ride a griffon on a predetermined rail. It makes traveling across those big zones quite fast, and is a fun means to do it :)

Ya I had a grif leave me standing near edge of platform, cast ward on myself and jumped, but this has happened 2 times in one day

Speaking of griffins...I was playing late the other night and was just cruising around the Commonlands picking up resources and this huge griffen was flying really slowly above me. I knew that it was not a traveling griffen because it was going so slowly and it was like 4x the size of a normal one. Being lvl 17 when I con'd it it was an orange^^ and was a named char. Has anyone else seen this, killed it, know when it spawns. I think this is similar to Muckraker the huge named crab in the Sunken City which I have only seen once and then was promply taking a dirt nap.
