Is it just me or is the updater supposed to update each and every time I play?

Oh, and turned my virtual memory to 1.5gig and the load times have gone from 1+ minutes to -30 secs.

I was actually referring to zone load times.

For Windows XP:

Start >> My Computer >> properties >> Advanced >> Performance >> Settings >> Advanced >> Virtual Memory >> Change

Just to add a bit to Facts reply on how to change your VM.

Someone else posted that the formula for it is...1.5 x Amount of Current Ram.

So if you have 1000 Ram
( that number is not possible but it is an easy calculation )

You would go 1.5 x 1000 = 1500....

So in your Virtual Memory you would set your minimium and your maximum memory to 1500.

Though I was told if you have a Pentium 4 it almost swaps around Virtual Memory perfect itself. Several people have told me they see no difference with the VM, using newer Pentium 4's that is....but I have not got my computer yet so I have no clue on that, just what I have heard.

P.S. Write down your Virtual Memory minimum and maximum settings before you start ******** with them so if something goes wrong you can just reset them and leave em be!

Hope this helps some!

Tuning your VM should be based more than 1.5 x memory. I/O on disks is SLOW and Windows loves to swap out to disk. If you are running a low speed hard (i.e. 4500rpm) drive, upping your VM could actually impede performance drastically. Personally I keep my VM at 512mb, but I'm running 2Gig of high performance memory.

So basically play with it a bit, but I would suggest going no lower than 512mb for VM and no higher than 1.5 x your total memory, as a rule of thumb.

My 2cp.
