poison is your friendFollow

ok here is some help for thsoe of you who like to do some more damage with your attacks. im not sure if every class can use poision since i havent tried it on my other characters yet. but if your of the scout tree i know poison works well.

i bought mine forma vendor in beggers court in freeport form between 8cp and 24sp i think it was which gets pricey but for the extra bang on your hits i think its worth it. the poisons last for 12 hours unless you die they go in your activatible slot in your inventory and i used a 24cp poison and was poisoning the mobs from between 18 and 24 damage on top of my regular damage it works on any weaposn you use when i would pull with my arrows i would get arrow damage and i would get poison damage on a mob. i wasnt paying to close attention last night when i was attacking but i think duel wielding gives you a chance of getting 2 poison attacks a round. i recommend usieng poison if you can just to get your extra dps in a fight poison combined with heroic opertunities can really make a 2 minute fight into a 30 second fight solo.

well how i activate it is once its in your inventory you double click on the item and it will go to activatable slot and from there i right click on the item and an option to use comes up and you click on that and youll see a cast time bar and then it will use up 1 of the poison vials and youll have a poison buff that lasts for 12 hours that imbues your weapons with a chance to proc a poison dd. im guessing that the more expensive the poison costs the longer it lasts and the more damage you do but thats all specualation since i havent bought any poison more then 24cp.

oh yea there are also something called health salves i havent bought any of them yet but i think those are clickable health renewal potions.

well i play a kerra preadtor. but tonight when i get off work im going to buy a vial on each of my other characters so ill be trying it on a fighter,mage,priest later on and ill report back on my findings if they can use it as well.

Has anyone been able to locate any poisons the require a skill between 50 and 150? I can find the 50's and the 150's and 200's in Qeynos but can't find anything that will work well for my level right now. Maybe they are crafted?

Oh and /agree with Trisa, everyone says that all scouts can use poison, but Bards are unable to.

I can make soooooooooo many potions that I have no idea what they do but am in the process of collecting that information. I can sorta assume on some of them based on the title but I want to get the specifics on each and everyone. You never know there is alot of strange stuff that can happen with them.

Thought this thread should be brought back to the front page. If you are on the scout tree, take note of this. Poison IS your friend. They last 12 hours and dramatically increase your DPS. If you are solo it can be a lfe saver......it is like getting off an extra two HO's in a fight (50 skill poisons). The addd kills you can now do per hour will pay for the poisons and then some.
