Tradeskills/Combat Skills?Follow

#1 Nov 22 2004 at 10:24 AM Rating: Decent
Simple question really; will my tradeskill level affect my maximum level for combat class?

Ie. if I chose to go Level 30 Sage. Would that make me able to only advance to Level 20 Coercer (Making the total 50)?

Or, can you go to Level 50 both?
I tried asking around, no one seems to know.

Although answered in the first reply there is one aspect of combat level vs tradeskill level that was not addressed:

When you are given society tasks, they are based on the HIGHER of the two levels. For example, I have a level 15 warrior who (was) a level 8 craftsman. I went to the basic wholesaler (since I do not have a speciality yet) and got a quest to return items. However, the items to return were tubers, which are a tier 2 drop, even though my tradeskill level was only equivalent to tier 1. Had I been 9th as a warrior, I would have gotten a tier 1 collection.
