Hunter of Goblin title.Follow

You must be playing in Qeynos. On the other side on the world, Freeport, you can find plenty of goblins.

How does one get the title(s)?

It's a matter of killing lots and lots of the type of monster you wnat the title in. I havent managed a title myself but I hear you need to kill 2000 to get it. Before you hit this, you will earn titles but non that you can display.

PS.. IM a Fay slayer....wondering if it's worthwhile hanging around the fairies in the peat bogs to get the title...but then again...times a wastin....things to do....busy busy..

To achieve Suffix Titles for a certain type of mob. You must first kill 500 of that type. It will come across your screen as Initiate, Master then Hunter at different levels as you kill the same types over and over again.

I have 2 titles:

Hunter of Gnolls & Hunter of Undead

I like to wear the Undead, because in Qeynos undead are normally higher level. If you gain access to Firemyst you can work on your Undead title. Or once you reach Thundering Steppes level you should have gained them both. I'm sure there are more that I don't know about.

How do you have a title display with your name?

Go to the forest ruins. Go around back. There is are few there. Once you find them you should be able to find a little passage to the beach, which has a ton of them that spawn real fast in groups and solo. I think the are level 10ish.

You can also get a quest from a guy on the backside of the ruins so you can get a little quest XP and loot while you are killing them as well.

When I was first exploring Freeport, I remember seeing a poster (It looked like a wanted poster) on a street post that listed the # of each race that I had killed. I am pretty sure this poster was in West Freeport.

I'll have to go look for it again and see how close I am to getting a title :)

Well...if its 500 kills to get the response that you are a Master Hunter of Goblins (I did not count up to this stage so not too sure)...and to receive the Title of Hunter of Goblins then...

...at 1000 kills total you receive the response that you are an Initiate Slayer of Goblins....

...and at 2500 kills total you receive the response that you are a Slayer of Goblins...

and I am up to 3600 total kills so far and still waiting for response that I am a Master Slayer of Goblins...this will likely come at 5000 kills. I will post an update when title received

Hey, can you get "Hunter Of" titles for any sort of mob? Or just for the general mob families like orcs and goblins and gnolls? It would be sweet if you could get it for any sort of mob... I'd go to the Sprawl and kill magi insurgents, etc... so that I could get "Hunter Of Ratonga" after my Ogre's name!

Update : Got the title of Slayer of Goblins above my head now (message was that I am a Master Slayer of Goblins) ...took 5000 kills to get it

Far from it... I have attained the Goblin Slayer title and I had only killed 833 goblins by the time I left the island... So the theory of 1k is incorrect... Now if there is underlying circumstances of achieving the title at lower numbers, it may be the lore items that say 'This item may be used to research to understand...' As I have all the lore items from the goblins, but I have yet done the 'research'. So if these lore items play a role in attaining the title quicker, is beyond me. But I do know that it doesn't require 1k to attain the title.

I have about 2k kills to both gnoll and undead, but I do not have a displayable Slayer title. I currently have Hunter of ... for orc/gnoll/undead.

From the 'wanted poster', it only seems to count kills for orc/gnoll/goblin/undead/fay. That being said, I dont think you get 'credit' for killing centaurs/giants/etc right now.
That may change. I am sure people will want Hunter/Slayer of Dragons or Gods when that time finally comes.

For reference, there *are* goblins in the Qyenos area outside of the Isle..

They're deep in Stormhold and are not very nice at all. I've only fought one group of them -- they came in a pack of 3 1-arrow lvl 25 goblins using specials that are in the lvl 40 range (for PCs), hitting non-special for up to 200 and specials for over 500.

Granted, I'm an Illusionist not a tank -- the damage had to be less on her else we wouldn't have won, I'm sure ;)
