How do you switch your chat option to group so when you type it's in group talk instead of say?

Sincerely to me, it's not harder to press G than press Enter. I even prefer G because it's closer to WASD.

Just click on the little bubble icon at the bottom of the chat screen, that will bring up the menu to change your default.

In addition to this I've noticed that having mupitple chat windows up for different things it always changes back after I log out. Is there a way to save the options so I don't have to change them every time I play?

It auto-saves when you logout.
It's very, very common for it to reset to defaults. This is a bug, however, that has been recognized by SoE. They are working to fix it from what i've read.
So.. no, there really isn't anything you can do. It's a known issue, that will eventually be fixed... eventually.

I read a thread a couple of days ago, that if you give each window a UNIQUE name (chat 1, chat 2, etc..) that it doesnt reset...
IF this works for sure.. dont know.. but worth a try :)
