I have played EQ for about 3 years now on the Prexus server (i am in Clan Nan Dreolan, time flagged and 65) and dont consider myself a newb but on EQ2 I am a huge newb :P..

I have a few questions..

Are there guildmasters and training points as before ?
Do we have to buy spells or are they automaticaly given to you ?
What are the new races/classes?
How is raiding going to work ?
How does guildforming and inviting work ?
What are the big differences between EQ and EQ2 ?
What are these hero combo things ive seen pop-up on my screen ?
How does this artisian thing work that people are oocing ingame on EQ2 about...
Ill edit my post when i remember the other things I was wondering and I thank all that post and give me this info :P

No. At least the last I heard that there is no Bazaar feature like in EQ... You can sell your merchandise through a broker or sell it from your home...

Training is automatic.

Spells are given automatically. You can buy upgrades though. For instance, Apprentice I mage spells are given when you reach appropriate level (skill?). The scribes have Apprentice II upgrades. Artisans (PC's) can craft Apprentice III versions. Apprentice III Lightning Burst seemed to hit for about 1.5x-2x the amount of damage as Apprentice I.

You can't drop things on the ground. Believe it or not, this is a massive load relief for the servers.
Combat is done with locked engagements. If you're fighting a mob and it gets too tough, the only way someone (other than a groupmember) can taunt it off is if you "yell for help" which is a common ability.
EQ2 uses power, not mana. Everybody has power, and spells/abilities that use it.
