PC problems.Follow

i get a messgae "<alert> E:/test/eq2/game/client/src/clientapp.cpp (2006) you require a video card with at least 4 texture units"

i have Nvidia Geforce4 MX 440 with AGP8X, i wanna know what the hell is wrong. i have a friend that said i needed to update my drivers, i did that and it still wont work -_-

MX series is not supported by eq2, sorry.

im so glad that i just spent $50 on a game that ive been so excited about, not to mention wasted a full day of my time.

I'm really sorry you had this happen to you. I had an issue with a Vid card I orderd online but thats not the time or place to rant about it or the site. You could always get another Vid card to run it for about 80-100 bucks. It really is a good game, and although you waisted a full day attempting to play it I would not give up. I ended up buying two vid cards and another stick of 512 ram when the game out.

Tif I had the same problem, I'm goin to Best Buy in 15 mins to go grab a cheap vid card. I believe it's a ATI-Radeon 9200 128 MB.

guess i will have to go pick up one....too bad im totaly broke. does anyone have ideas on which video cards work with EQ2 and are on the cheaper side? thanks

yer a slow one tif, the one i picked up is tested and works perfectly with eq2.

was 101.99 at best buy over here.

Your lucky. My best buy is demands $120 + Tax for the cheapest card that can run EQ2. >_> Scum bags, all of them!

eeeek if you have to buy a new video card dont skimp on a 9200 ; /

make it worth your time and buy a useful card. Radeon 9800 128 is about $135 shipped and will play loads better than a 9200. 9800 Pro for just over $200 would be better yet. But at least get a 9800 !! 9200 wouldnt even be on the charts below - and a $30 difference between a 9800 on the web and a 9200 in Best Buy... hardly a decision to make!!

Oh how i miss the days of running eq on my Dell P2 333mhz, with a voodoo3 16mb vid card and 128 mb of ram.....

i think im gonna pick up a VisionTek Xtasy RADEON 9200 SE 128MB DDR AGP (yes i copied and pasted the name -_-) heres the best buy site that has the info for it http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=1093469970596&skuId=6880468&productCategoryId=cat01151&type=product (long? yes) if anyone sees anything wrong with it please do tell. im looking at it and it seems to fit the recommended requirement for gameplay which is better then minimal ;P
