I went out and bought a new video card last night (Geforce 5200 Fx) and started playing. I played for 3 hours completely lagg free. I signed off and came back this morning aand played about an hour and now I lagg so bad that the game is not even playable. I make an attack or cast a spell and nothing happens until I sit to camp. After I sit to camp the text rolls real fast but when I stand up it stops. Anyone have a suggestion BESIDES buying a P99 6 THz with 5 TB? :P

i have sent 2 bug tickets not heard anything yet.
I dont have a clue of what to do.

Maybe it is weekend trafic but I think it is something in the settings or connection. I changed servers and made a new character and it still did it when I was on the boat. I stood there for 25 minutes and as soon as I sat to exit the captian finally spoke. The tutorial started and when I clicked continue nothing happened until I again sat to camp. I repeated this for most of the tutorial. I shut down my computer and restarted it twice before I got to the camp.

Last night from 10 PM to 2 AM I played and NEVER laged once so I do not think it is my computer but again I may be wrong.

Nice Video card there but your lacking Ram. You may want to upgrade to at least 1 gig.

I run a AMD Althon 3.2 Barton (2.2 actual), 1.25 Gig pc 2100 Ram with a GForce GT6800 w/ 265 Ram and have no problems at all.

The servers are overloaded, at least the one i'm on is. From what i've heard, it's not the only overloaded server.

You can tell the difference between serverload and poor graphics simply by setting your graphics lower. If it's a problem with your machine, the lower your graphics, the better your performance will be. If you lower the graphics, and it gets a little better, but is still bad, then you know it's the server.

I could run FFXI at 2048 resolution, looked absolutely incrediable, and still get better FPS than min settings in EQ2 during high population times.

They are constantly giving server messages encouraging people to move their characters to other servers, since Anotonia Bayle can't handle the load. It's got most of the RP people, aswell as tons of just random people who have no idea what RP is, but it was the first server on the list.
