Druid Legacy quest in Oakmyst??Follow

I just got this quest (drop from bear) and the second step said to look for a tree that overlooks the waterfall. It also said something was buried there a LONG time ago and the tree may be gone. Has anyone else gotten this quest and figured out this step? I cannot find it mentioned on any of the boards.

The tree is only sorta near the waterfall. If your facing the waterfall, it's up on top of the hill to your left (on the way to Teardrop Cave). To get it to register, you have to be practically standing on top of the ferns on the opposite side of the tree from the waterfall.
