Please no more posts about this games better than this cause of this. And this game stole such and such from this game.

THIS IS THE "EVERQUEST II" FORUM

Not FFXI, not CoH, not DAoC, not EQ1. I fully expect to be ignored, but come on. Why not enjoy the game and post useful information for helping others enjoy the game, if you dont enjoy it post to the game boards that you do like. I have seen plenty of good posts that have been informative and fun in speculation and fact for EQ2, but they get bumped to the bottem because people are complaining, or comparing. Ugh.

Yes a forum is for just about anything, but if you want to compare go to the out of topic forum or asylum or something. Comparisons don't help people who are enjoying the game and who are having fun, all they do is cause doubt which is never a good thing.

Would I be correct to assume that this thread was created in response to the "Where FFXI went wrong" thread? If it was, it would have been better to have kept it there. This thread is not any better than comparison threads.

Also, if you read the "Where FFXI went wrong" post, you would have realized that it wasn't about comparing one game over another, but rather what things, more specifically problems, within one game may be avoided in another game.

Of course, this is all conjecture on my part since I don't know exactly what has spurred this thread.

I am keeping up on that thread, and no this wasn't in response to that thread it was in response to visiting various threads and finding peoples starting arguments over the differences between the games and confusing a class in one game with another. Various things. As to the "Where FFXI went wrong" post I total understand what their saying and I know their not comparing. They just want to try and keep EQII from going in that direction in a couple of years.

Posts such as "What is wrong with you people?!"

I realize mine isn't much different but I just had to say something it's so agonizing.

I apologize, then, for my obviously erroneous post. ^^

I wasn't put off. I just wanted to explain myself better. Thanks for having me clarify myself.

While I'll admit that it's only natural to compare new experiences to ones that you've had in the past of a similar nature...I have to agree here. I'm seeing FFXI tossed around in this forum more often than EQLive. I know that a lot of us came here from FFXI (me included), but quite frankly, I'd rather not talk about FFXI anymore. At all. I want to talk about EQ2.

I'm not going to rate anyone down who does, but I'm just going to hope that it dies out soon, and people get to discussing the game at hand.

I guess this is also in response to my thread. Sowwy!!! I'll let it die down.

My thread was just my trying to understand why I felt that EQII didn't give me that EQ feeling. It brought other games feelings but not EQ. I was trying to see if anyone else felt that way and if they could help me understand why I felt that way.

May I just need a shrink >_<

I'm thinking you feel that way because this isn't Everquest like was posted in your thread. And don't feel bad I didn't start this directly because of anyone thread in particular. This game was meant to be a new experience and while elements are similar it's not meant to feel like any other game than itself. EQ2. It's primarily made to make money but hey I'm willing to dish it out to play.

Word. Actually I think it would be a great idea to link the " Where FFXI went wrong" in the asylym right now to get their views on the subject. It's just not fair that they are left out of the conversation.

Also I have just under 4 hours until I get off work and could use some reading material.
