Time to break up the forumFollow

Agreed, I'd prefer to just stay here for most of the info I need. Figuring out the ins and outs of other boards is time I'd rather spend playing. That being said, bump bumpity bump bump bump. Break it up please.

As posted on RPzip's Support the Cause link, I said something around these lines.

On the General Forum we could talk about, latest patches, helping out new comers to the game, some fast ways to make gil, or an NPC or something, and how Freeport > Qeynos =P

I was j/kin bout the last one, but those are just some things that will end up being discussed. Hope that helps. :)

Isn't it odd that FF got to have 40 bazillion forums and EQ, EQ2 and WoW only get one? That is something I always wondered about. Since no one uses the FF forums now (obviously you are all here), I'd propose taking all that database space there and moving it here where it can go to better use.

I'm sure that they will get around to it when submissions slow down a bit. However, here is a >^BUMP^< to keep it on the radar.

When you make too many boards, its cumbersome and unnecessary. Perhaps there could be a General, Tradeskill, and Quest board. More than that and people can't find what they need, and many posts get overlooked because people don't want to brwose 10 different boards.

Just do this. Go the the EQ2 forums and look at the first page and think of the different forums some of these could be in. Not ten, but more like five or six. You can view a listing of the seperate forums and pick the one which best suits your qestion, comment or complaint.

Suddenly you get more responses to threads and therefore more information and different points of view. As it stands now, a thread here can easily end up on page two in a matter of hours and missed by many members of the community.

For example, on the EQ1 forums I got some great answers to wizzy questions on the wizzy forum. It even got more personal with some posters because we would discuss class issues and strategy almost daily without the thread being bumped down into hell, while the 5 threads about the evil platt sellers all stayed up top.

they should just make it like the eq1 site, forums for classes and races and stuff
