I just received EQ2 and got my first shock, its all in german. I already feared that they mess up the game with directing european copies to european servers, but according to all the news about the different servers i didnt expected just to have the choice between a totally full and a low populated server, what proved populated with a bunch of german people. - In total 2 servers ! -
What in the hell do we have internet for, if we want to stay at home and talk to german people?
The game is german, explanations german - ugly translations..- and i end up in a german community ..what do i need EQ2 for then?
The fun and real challange of an internet game IS - TO MEET people and play with people from ALL over the world!
It would be interesting to see if the situation changes with moving out from the island?
Else i just have the choice to buy an us-copy and log to an US - server or rather play WOW.
I played EQ sind nearly the beginning of Everquest and i saw the mess with UBI-Soft and european locked servers. Actually i hoped the basic philosophy of SONY wouldnt show up that much in EQ2 for it should be an RP-Game. Sigh .. i am frustrated at this point and well..there is always WOW and of course DAoC :))
