Is there a way to put a comment when someone is looking up my name? I only got blind invites for now, but one guy, and nobody took the time to ask me if a) I wanted to join or, when I was looking for party, b) <this is what we want to do, wanna join?>
Is there a way to do that? FFXI alike, kinda.
I understand this is the rush of the 1st month but... yeah I don't like it :D lol

I'm not too sure about search comments, but I do agree blind invites are kinda... yeah.

I accepted a few on IoR, but now that I'm out in the "big city" I'm just so busy questing. It would be cool to be able to state that.

I'll check the search when I log on, but I'm sure by that time, someone will already know for sure.

If anything, you could set yourself to anon, besides hiding your job and race(?), it should hide your level. Someone correct me on this please.

I mainly go /role and that hides my job but not my level. Don't get too many blind invites anymore. Although I did get a blind invite to a guild. :( I would like to have known what that was about, but if they didn't want to /tell me first, ah well.

If they didn't take the time to give you a tell 1st I guess you didn't lose anything.
I'm waiting a little for the guild thingy, unless I get a friendly tell explaining whats the point of their guild.

Hopefully they will implement something into the LFG tool which allows you to put a search comment, like EQI or FFXI, that would probably help cut down on the blind invites. But there will always be people who do that and I doubt they will ever stop. If someone doesn't take the time to send me a tell before clicking invite I usually just decline and go on my way.

Yes I do the same; I guess they'll stop at higher level. I really dont plan on losing a bunch of expe/time because of a blind invite and a bad party.
It would be cool for sure if we could add comments to our LFG flag.

I think if you go AFK your hidden from searches. Of course you are physically visible to everyone still. I'm not positive but it's worth a checking into

Really is it that big of deal.....if you dont want to group hit decline, if not you might end up groupin in a awesome party, or the worst party ever know to EQ lol.

This is not always people doing it on purpose though. Yesterday, while trying to get the rotweed quest done, I was trying to invite a person who did not have LFG up but said they would help. Every time i tried to invite them, even though i had them selected in the search window, it would try and invite someone else so i ended up sending something like 5 blind invites to random people.

I don't tend to worry about it much... I was working on my class progression quest and got a blind Raid invite... what on earth..err.. Norrath.. can you raid at 9th level??? since I was busy I declined..

it's sorta like FF. but the invite indicator is MUCH larger.. :-p

Yes I agree Lokim, to click on the Decline button is no big deal, I dont care about that, actualy to decline any blind invites is a good way to pass the message "give us a tell first please".
I dono, at least a "wanna party?" would be cool, more polite :p
I played EQ1 for like a week and left, I didn't like it, too old I guess when I tried, so I dont know if there were any blind invites. I'm still playing FFXI, I like this game, but I dont like bots and gils sellers :/ This is why I bought EQ2, hope it isn't gonna be rotten by those guys.

Edit: To be added to "stupid stuff I did in a game" : I bought EQ1 and all its expansions BEFORE I even knew if I was gonna like it ;p

Im one of those weird people that when Im the group leader, I always msg the person and say "need pty?"

Yet, when Im sent a blind invite, I always accept except when Im waiting for a friend to come back and form a group.

So I send tells before invites, but dont mind being blind invited...yes Im weird.
