I'm doing something wrong


I'm in need of some guidance here. I've been soloing for the purpose of drops so that I can make some decent coin. I thought I was doing a great job. I came back and had 30sp to show for it. The most I’ve ever had. I felt pretty rewarded at the time.

So now I’m looking forward to upgrading my apprentice II to something better that’s for sure. I buy a bulletin board and I’m all set. I check the prices.. I see 50sp for each spell. Umm I’m doing something very wrong here. To me that’s an insane amount of money as I just soloed for 6 hours. I'm not lazy when it comes to earning gear but I’m doing something wrong here.

Coming from other mmos this is not balanced so either everyone is crazy for asking that price OR I’m doing something wrong. Perhaps someone could give me a suggestion on a repeatable quest. I don’t mind putting forth the work what so ever. I just know what I’m doing now can’t be right. I mean time I earn enough for one spell all my gear would be useless.

I would appreciate any guidance you could give me. I look forward to putting the work in but I just need the correct path.

Hey thanks for the words of wisdom Tocopheryl. I've never been in a dungeon. I'll explorer around and see what I can find. Yeah I dont even want exp. I want gear. I hate being under geared more then anything. I'd rather be lvl 6 with great gear then a lvl 15 with crappy gear. I've always put gear before exp. Thanks again for the words.
