1. Is there any other way to get any kind of pet other than ordering the CE EQ2?
2. With items what does it mean skill required? What skill is required man this new version is confusing some times.

There is a petshop in South Qeynos and one in Freeport but I'm not sure which specific zone. This is a list of the pets sold in Qeynos (I snatched it off another board):

* A Greenblood River Frog - 4g, 92s
* A Halasian Hunting Cat - 9g

About the skill required question, everything has a certain skill associated with it, if you right click on the item and select "examine" it will tell you what type of skill ...(light armor, sword...etc, that sort of thing) and what level of the skill you need to have before you can equip it.
