Need some lag adviceFollow

I am starting to experience some serious lag in certain zones even with a cable modem.

I rarely experienced lag in IoR or even in Castleview, but when I go into Qeynos Harbor, North or South Qeynos, etc, the lag is pretty bad. In the old EQ you could turn down your viewing distance (I forget what it was called) which I often did when I went into bazaar. Is there something like that for EQ2? My computer isn't all that bad (1.8ghz, 512 RAM, Geforce 4 128MB video card) so I don't want to go with really terrible graphics quality or anything. Right now I have it on high performance (the one below balanced). I've turned down the music which I think helps. I hate to turn off all the environmental effects but I will if I have to for those zones.

That is about the best thing that I can suggest is to up your virtual memory it is always good paractice to have 3 times the amount of virtual memory as you do physical memory. You should also look into getting at lest another 512mb of memory if you have a gig of memory and gig and half or more of virtual memory you should see a big differnts in game play.

I've yet to see any lag. I have a Gig of RAM so that is perhaps why there is no lag for me as of yet. Be interesting to see later when more players join though.
