Crafting/Tradeskill Info (Work in Progress)Follow

#1 Nov 17 2004 at 8:31 AM Rating: Good
Over the course of the next 2-3 weeks, I'll be putting together a Database of information and hosting it online to delve deeping into the crafting system in EQ II. Included will be Recipes, Equipment, Harvesting Options, and hopefully (if time prevails) a Cost vs. Worth analysis to base profit/loss on.

Hopefully, Allakhazam will soon add a Tradeskill section to their site. I know it's touch and go as of now, and there isn't a whole lot of information as we're still in the first few weeks of the game. But I've been working on about ever piece of crafting equip that I can, and have gone as far as purchasing as many Artisan Scribes as possible to get an accurate compilation of recipes and materials.

Once the info is all up on the site, and things seem worthy for the masses, I'll update here so that everyone can have access.

So far, I have absolutely complete info for:
-Artisan 1-4 Recipes
-Tradeskill Associations (Qeynos only, but info should equal out)
-Merchant Fuel/Supply Prices
-Cost Analysis of levels 1-4
-Minor Harvesting/Mining/Logging/etc details

I'll be working on level 4-9 for this week, then start gathering information for 10-19 next week. Hopefully by then I'll have the info up. Happy Crafting!

Count me in to help with this. I am frustrated that:

1. SOE changed the whole damn crafting process days before launch

2. No really decent crafting guides out there (see above)

3. Upgrading trapping/fishing/mining takes foreeeevvveeerrr. At least Gatherin levels quickly

4. After level 10 it is almost impossible to level right now since there are not enough materials (see #3)

5. The damn societies are bugged and keep resetting; have to rejoin and lose points.

Cheers to you for taking this on and let me know what I can do to help.

I too will be glade to help, so far the only thing I dont like about EQ2 is as the above post states it takes FOREVER to get gathering skills up! its well into the realm of ridiculous. But, I am at level 11 outfitter and have learned quite a bit in that time.

does anyone know if buying mining pick or a gathering knife from a vender for 2.8silver actually helps in anyway shape or form??

I am a support person for a dedicated Tradeskiller lvl 15 Scholar with a lvl 12 Alch & Craftsmen (she makes me my spells) so I'm out harvesting what I can in Tier 2 zones.

As far as I can tell the harvesting tools make no difference at all. I've used them and I've not used them. Did make any difference that I could tell.

I am looking forward to see this dbase get off the ground, my friend is complaining she can't find the info she's looking for.
