If I am correct, if you are sending a tell to a multi-named server (i.e., Tholuxe Paells) you only use the first part of the name. So in the example used, you would type /tell eq.tholuxe.charactername

If the person you're trying to contact is offline, then you'll get the invalid name message.

This is what worked for me...

[tell eq2.servername.charname message

Ofcourse that is from EQ1 to EQ2.. I imagine if you wanted to send from eq2 you would simply replace the 2 with a 1

On another note I think that it is neat that we are able to talk to eachother in game no matter which one you are on

I even hear you can send tells to people playing SWG aswell...which opens up the opportunity of harassing the guild i left there to join me in EQ2. woohoo

Yes u can chat to SWG i have done it as well. Below is what SOE posted as the syntax

To EQ1 from EQ2: /tell eq.servername.charname <message> (verified it works)
To SWG from EQ2: /tell swg.servername.charname <message> (verified it works)
To EQ2 from EQ1 and SWG: /tell eq2.servername.charname <message> (Non confirmed but was told by some it didnt work)

Have fun :)

It works... for sure... I do it all the time.

/tell eq.server.character message

If the server has a "The" on the front (i.e. "The Rathe") then leave the the off. (i.e "Rathe")
