trouble finding tortured soulsFollow

Without a map and being at work, I can't give you exact directions, but if you've ever seen maleficent arachnids (or whatever they're called), or seen rabid shrillers or the Creeper (and other spiders), then you're very close to where you can find the tortured souls.

Another good landmark would be the tiled room area with the pest beetles.

IIRC, from the entrance with the female merchant, I go:
1. second right
2. first left
3. first right
4. straight on down

I could be wrong, and most likely am, so don't take that as right directions.

Be careful though, rabid shrillers (and the occasional normal shriller) will be aggro. Tortured souls tend to have a nasty aggro range (that or I lag like a beast). Also, rotting citizens (and the Undead Noble I believe) are also in that area. All aggro. Once I saw a yellow tortured soul (level 9/10 at the time). Now, at level 11/12, all tortured souls are either white, green or blue.

Ah, then you know the place I speak of! The two pathways to that room is where you can find the tortured souls. If you don't see any, then it's probably because people have been killing them or training them away from that area. Same thing with the rabid shrillers there. Makes the quests that involve them that much harder because it's difficult to avoid aggro there and their spawn rates are.. well, you know the word.
