I aimed and hopefully I hit the eq2 forums this time.. My questions to those who may know is. I want to start a new char, but the one I want to delete has the Jboots and the cute little baby dragon.. do I have to loose theese items if I delete that character, or is there a way to save them for a new char?

Nope...those items are designated to that character only...there was a message to that effect when you /claimed, if you recall....
If you did not attune the jboots, I believe you can trade them. I'm not sure though since I did not get any.
Non-Attuned JBoots are also No Drop. It doesn't make any sense for an already No Drop item to need attuning, but hey, what you can do? I'm sure it makes sense to somebody.
If you delete your char you lose all /claim items, and SOE will not restore them, even if you deleted by accident. Same apply's to title you char might have (if you played EQ1)
