Hello All,

I have a few questions; I hope someone can answer them. Please note I played EQ 1 like 5 years ago so I’ll be using the information I remember in EQ 1, here for reference.

In EQ I if you wanted to learn a skill you would speak to a master that pertains to your class. Anything like that in EQ II? If so where??????

How can I learn Dual wield?

As a Bard what would be the correct weapon to use?

Fishing as a craft? I fished for money in FFXI I actually like it and wanted to do the same here. What’s interesting I don’t have a fishing pole however I can still fish. Is there a benefit of buying a pole? I mean I already magically have one (I guess). Why would one that takes up an inventory slot be better? Also in EQ I if I remember fishing wasn’t really a good way of making money. I’m finding the same results here (not worth the time). Anyone have a good experience? Is it worth pursuing?

Thanks =)

You automatically learn skills... of course skills like your 1hs and defense and parry for example build up as you use them.. just like in EQ1.

How can I learn Dual wield?

You instantly know this skill. The weapons you use however have to be dual weild weapons, which it will say if you examine them.

As a Bard what would be the correct weapon to use?

Whatever you want... preferablly whatever has the best stats.. I'm currently dual wielding 2 piercers with my bard.

Thanks for the info aronnov =)

What I tried to do was equipment a weapon that was for the primary slot, and then a weapon designed for the secondary slot. That didn’t work and a lost out big time.

So I take it the weapon stat will state something along the lines it can be dual wielded with another weapon? Is there one for primary or secondary or does that even matter?

I’m glad to hear there’s no correct weapon. Getting to pick a weapon that you like is better then forcing to select something everyone else likes.

I personally want dual whips if at all possible.

For dual-wield weapons, in the place where it currently says "one handed" or something like that in the description, it will instead say "dual-wield" or something like that. (I can't recall word for word what it says, just that it either says something like 1-handed, 2-handed, or Dual wield).

I started to fish, from the noobie spots I got fish that i cant sell, later on I caught and sold fish worth a little, I suppose later on we can make money but that I don't know for sure.

I learned my skills automaticaly but for the level II (from Sneak to Sneak II for instance) I bought them at the Scribe house.

I got to fishing and although i only caught fish I couldnt sell, I could craft it into nice breaded fish which made me a small profit. I imagine as you are able to catch more exotic fish and craft more exotic meals you can make more money...though I would guess you would have to specialise in cooking to make any more than a few cp profit on each dish.

Cheers
