I started off getting into WC groups alot. I got some nice Adept 1 drops and good exp. Found a few groups and killed Fulgore a few times. (one of these days I should really pickup that quest so that I get credit for the kill) Finished a few small quests and got some coin and upgrade for my legs. Dinged 16 and started my FG key quest. Killed 5 stone giants and hopefully toinght I can get a strong group together to finish the quest.

What did you do?

Lots and lots of stuff.

On Friday I dinged 15 and did a good many quests.

On Saturday I dinged 16 and did more quests, also incurred lots of debt due to dying. Being pioneers is fun, but it's damned deadly.

On Sunday I dinged 17 in a great party with my linkshell. Again, incurring lots of debt. (^_^)b

At any rate, I recruited some great people for our guild. Also worked on some writs with a few guild pals and got our guild to almost 30% into level 1 (slow but sure, slow but sure...)

Oh, and I finally had one gold. Then I spent 12 silver and it was gone again... hehe

I also mastered the Gnoll Language and got me a trophy to put into my room. Good stuff.

Trying to figure out how to sell from bazaar/brokers. Rode a griffin and bought food and water from a merchant for the first time.

You have to go to any furniture shop and buy a sign that hangs on the wall of your home. With this you can place items you have on the market and search the market for a listing of what other players have.

As for the broker, it works pretty much the same way. Find a broker in town and you can buy/sell thru him. The broker will take a percentage of the sale for himself.

Brokers will nto let me sell, i even check the right-click context menu, only gives me option of buying. Do i need to do a quest or talk to a certain person first?

To be honest with you I have never bought or sold thru a broker and I don't want to assume. I would make sure you have the thing you buy from the furniture store, market sign or something like that.

You can only buy through a broker, as far as I know. There is no offline selling, so no selling through the broker while you're off line. You have to buy the board and leave your character logged on as a merchant to sell things, then people can buy from you through a broker.

That's where Aarthar is right now. =P

I just got the game Saturday, yay!

The server that my EQ1 guild had picked to play on was full, so I started on another server, just to get a feel for the game. So now I have a half elf priest on Highkeep.

Then Sunday morning, I was able to log on early enough to get a character started on Najena, where my friends are. I just did the usual stuff and I have a high elf mage at level 8 there now.

I'm really liking this game so far!

Dinged level 11 with my Shaman and absolutely love this game!!! I have been playing with a buddy and we both are at level 11.

GOt a group in the "Down Under" area last evening and died while accidentally pulling a dead royal prince. Quit after that so I will have to do a corpse run this evening :-(.

Gonna work on some of the Qeynos quests which are much more fun then actually camping an area.

installed the game Sat...

got to Quenos Sunday night after doing at truckload of quest on the Isle.. I could no longer gain xp at all by the time I left.

ran around Castleview to get a feel for the place and not get terribly lost in the future...

right now I'm on the citizenship quest.

Let's see... Bought EQ2 on Saturday, went to bed depressed. Bought new video card Sunday morning, acquired citizenship, went to bed depressed. Saved up money for more RAM...

Seriously. Love the game; the quests are fun, the gameplay is exciting. I am NOT getting a good picture, though. After analyzing a lot of my system, I've come to the conclusion that 512 megs of RAM is pretty bare bones for this game. I get horrendous lag even with all the graphic settings all the way down (which looks terrible). Other than that, though, the questing/exploring has been awesome. So far I've been too timid to group up - I'm very very new to the EQ controls. OVERALL RATING: 11 out of 10.

Get more RAM, I upgraded from 512 to 1 gig, runs real smooth now. Before I was always choppy, specailly in town.

Rock on. I was hoping that's what it was. When I started playing FFXI in May, I had to buy a 64 MB video card (GeForce 4 MX), then had to buy a GeForce FX 5500 on Sunday for EQ2. I was hoping that it wasn't the card (I'm pretty poor). Glad to hear that a RAM upgrade will help, since I need more memory anyway for graphic and audio work that I do. /sigh. One more dip in the ol' savings account oughtta do it...

not trying to hijack this thread, but I have an AMD XP 3000+, 1gig of DDR3200 ram and a BFG 6800gt. but I get lag in town area occasionally and i'm not even running the game at highest details. would you remcommend another 512mb ram or a new cpu?

I have 1GB DDR and a 6800GT and I still get lag in freeport and in WC. I'm going to upgrade to 2 GB soon.

I'm also of the opinion that EQ2 is really better served with 2GB ram...
