They weren't ready for release. The game was rushed out early so SOE has come up with this "clever" way of bringing them into the game when they are ready. EQ2 is currently in its last stage of BETA.

i heared that in order to unlock the frogloks you gotta go to guk zone and do a quest there .. is that true?
SOE shouldve locked other races instead of frogies ! just to make it more interesting.. or lock a class :D that would **** some peeps though.
but if you wana talk about marketing yeah they shouldve locked a class instead of a race, (frogies) lol !

No one knows exactly what needs to be done to unlock them, lots of guesses though. It is said that it's supposed to be a server wide thing so it should be big, meaning you're gonna need alot of players to finish this.

you know what would suck if the hole thing was solveable by talking to one guy inside Quenos.
