Hello there:

I'm looking to start crafting with my main character. He's level 12 Predator, and I want to know what is a good possible craft to get into with him.

What craft would be most useful for an soon-to-be-Assassin?

How does one start a craft?

Is there a guide somewhere, or some advice one can give on starting?

I'm gonna take a guess you did'nt do the training on the isl of refuge right? You can join societies around town which give you access to the work stations and even give out quests. Hmm going to be assassin, thought about alchemy? Havent read up on it much but I would assume you could make poison potions, or maybe do smithing for weapons.

I did go through Refuge training, on another character.

However, the crafting tutorial there hardly gave me much assistance on what possibilities were going to be in my future depending on my craft of choice.

well, they don't really suggest a craft based on profession b/c it isn't really necessary. If you do wish to choose a craft to support your job though I suggest checking out eq2-artisan(s?).com (just google eq2 artisan to be sure) and go over their guides and recipe list. find a list of items that are appropriate to your job then find out what craft makes them.
