Adventurer or Arftisan question...Follow

Does anyone know why the banker asks you if you are an adventurer or artisan? What is the game significance of your answer? I answered adventurer, but I certainly intend to do both. The next question he asks you is a roleplaying question or just an attempt at humor, about whether you agree not to keep live animals or something like that in the bank. Is the adventurer/artisan question strictly roleplaying or does it affect something in game depending on your answer? Thanks and Happy Hunting all!! :) :) :)
