Sorry search is down and im tired. I know about the CE Dragon pet for your house but has anyone been able to get a run of the mill pet. A cat or bird maybe. I havent been able to figure out how to do this. I have a cage, but is a cage required for any pet? Any insight would be nice =)

Well, I'm not going to be very useful, but I did run across a vendor who sold cats (kittens). I can't remember where, and I can't remember who. The vendor's store was filled with cats. It was either in N. or S. Qeynos. I assume that if you buy the cat or kitten it is your housepet.

I have not checked since release, but in beta you could have all kinds of pets, Cats, tigers, ducks. I had a stray cat and baby duck myself, no cages. They were pretty expensive starting at 2 gold or so. They were sold by a Troll in West Freeport. I have not checked on that as I don't have 2 gold to waste on pets yet.
