So What about a tradeskill forum?Follow

I'm sure Popsi & some others are looking into this, but what's the process for creating new forums? I.E. Job specific, tradeskill specific, server specific... I'm at work right now, otherwise I'd be submitting information like mad, but it seems like those would be very usefull, and make it easier to find information in these early stages.

On a side topic, has anyone figured out how usefull the tradeskill buffs are? I've tried a few and there definately seems to be an effect, but I still would like others opinions on them.

I fully agree, I am shocked there is not one already. This is an entire section of the game in and of itself that needs to be addressed a little more.

I just started my crafting today, and am having a blast but information is still hard to come upon. A lot of people are asking me to craft spells and some of the componets I have just not been able to find! I am sure other people are run into some of the same issues or have some suggestions.

i am currently level 7 crafting on unrest server. i think i have just gotten a hang of it. the buffs are used when crafting a box will pop up and you must click the corresponding buff to stop the event from happening. you can actually get hurt from crafting. any ways all apprentice 3 spells are made from pretty easy drops. you just have to harvest and gather and forest. i know this doesn't help much but keep fiddlng around with things and you will get the hang of it. also buy lots of bags.

Yes, I can agree with the above poster about the buffs. After the four rows of product's quality you can create is an empty box area. Whenever you encounter problems, just match up the images to the correct tradeskill buff and you can avoid any problems and prevent from getting hurt.

Please note however that these buffs have compromises. One of which, that means a lot, is the lessening of durability. I have yet to experiment with using a buff regardless of if the problem it is used to correct is in effect or not. Sometimes durability increases but most times it decreases.

I've also noticed that it gets easier to make pristine quality products (so far, mainly components of larger projects for me) once you've made them a few times.

I'm still on the Island of Refuge, but was able to craft a leather backpack. Before the serves were taken down, I acquired enough pelts to work on another one.

Can't wait to start work on other stuff.

Coming from FFXI's synth system, I'm on cloud 9 lol.
