If you have a raid set up with 2 groups, yet only 1 cleric, can the cleric heal people in both groups?

I BELIEVE (don't quote me) that if you are in a raid, you are considered 'der uber group'. Now group only buffs may not get passed around outside your base group (not sure on this), but as you are considered locked into combat with the rest of the raid, you should be able to cast on other raid members.

The lock would be the only thing that would normally stop you.

I'm pretty sure the answer is yes. I know my girlfriend's cleric was healing people in the other group in a raid we had going on just for fun, but can't remember at 100% certainty if that was during a combat or strictly between fights (when you could heal them regardless).

If a raid is like a big group, I wonder if we will have to pay a full raids worth of xp debt if the raid wipes?

Ouch that could get expensive.. imagine a raid of mid 20's wiping. The debt would be insane.
