With that being said, i will take a hiatis from FF11 to give EQ2 a run. I didn't like the first one (tried it but went back to UO) but i have a good feeling that this game will really shine. But i have a few questions before i start.

First: I currently use a GeForce 4 TI 4600 128mb Card. Will this be sufficent or will i need to upgrade?

Second: What are the most needed and/or balanced classes to play as? (i spent a whole year lvling a Dragoon in FF11 only to relize that the class is unnessesary and superfulious)

Thirdly: Would it be wise for me to take on a craft as soon as I start or should i wait a bit untill i'm a higher lvl? (once again didn't make the right choice in FF11 and didn't craft. later i regreted it cause i had no way to make money)

Any help would be greatly Appreciated. Thanks for your time.

First: that will work fine, i have a 128 too you only need a 64
Second:the most needed would be healers, as for balanced, everything seems pretty well ballanced right now, and everything is needed
Thirdly: This is not FFXI, you could start skills at level 2, but it doesn't really matter that much as this game is not about the money, it is about the adventure. Don't sweat the money, I like the artisen skills because its like a hobby. don't stress out over it , but pick one and keep at it as you go through the world if you choose to

1. I use that exact card with a 2500+ Athlon XP and 512 Megs of high speed ram and the game shines. You'll be just fine, although if you don't have 1 gig of ram (I see performance issues with long game sessions, meaning the ram is being used up) then you may want to upgrade to said 1 gig.

2. Priests are the most needed and probably always will be. Most groups want atleast 2 priests (if you're fighting fairly hard mobs).

3. Crafting is a whole different beast in EQ2. It's completely seperate from adventuring. If you wanted, you could do 50 levels of crafting without ever picking up a sword (well, minus the newbie island.) I'm planning on picking up a craft soon myself, though.

thanks for the info! probably pick this up by end of next week. Just one more question. What would be a good tanking class in this game? seems I should go priest or tank.

Anything off either the Crusader or Warrior branch of the Fighter archetype should be a solid tank, except maybe Berzerker.
