So I have wandered around the Forest Ruins for quite a while, being a wood elf, they told me I was supposed to kill things and get tokens. Being as I cant progress past level 6, I cant really kill anything but Badgers, Turtles, Deer, and a few of those Birds.

Would anyone know which mobs the tokens are dropped from? Or will I need to jump in a group to take down some of the tougher mobs? Thanks in advance ^^

EVERYTHING in the newbie yards can drop tokens. You can do all advancement quests solo, but grouping does make it easier. Your choice.

Just keep killing stuff. It's all on random chance for every mob you kill.

Man..complete randomness on such a low level/important quest makes baby jesus cry...

It really doesn't take all that long.

The token drop-rate is about 50%, from my experience.

I was getting citizenship for a toon in Freeport, at 4/5 tokens, and ran into a spot where I didn't get tokens for at least 20 kills. This seemed kinda bizarre, so I zoned out and back in, and the quest showed as completed.

Unless there's a silent nerf happening, the drop rate should be much better. You might want to try zoning to see if the tokens show, and IF that works, /bugreport it. If not, maybe they are borking the drop rate but I doubt it -- there'd be no point in making people stay out there longer looking at their exp-capped spam.

lol...I logged on last night for about 4 minutes (created characters with the wifey, but since the second PC ain't workin yet, we just wanted to get a quick taste of the game before we both start). First crab I killed, gotta Token.

Must've carried my TH II over with me from FFXI...rofl ^^

That is for a different quest, Scrimshaw token, on the island of Refuge.

Do you have to initiate this quest? I started in Willow Wood and then ran around Greystone and Ruined trying to work on anything that would start the Qeynos citizenship quest series and found nothing.

Go to the gate into the main part of the city and click on the sign next to it. You should get a flyer. Read it.

Go through the full dialogue with the caretaker in your Inn room. At the end of it you will get an explanation of "why you can't zone into the main city".

You're not a citizen!

How do I become a citizen?

You get directed to a signpost in town where you pull a citizenship application (doubleclick sign). Open inventory, examine the application, read the text, accept the quest.

On two different quests I've done, I needed one more item to drop and killed and killed and never saw it. I finally ran back to the NPC and talked to him and suddenly it showed the quest being complete. Must be a bug.

I have figured out why you never get the last item. If you die some time doing the quest your quest screen gets out of sync because it added the spirit shard quest. Just go to your quest journal and reactivate the quest you are working on and it will update.

I've had that happen to me for my Class Quest. I was killing asps in the Ruined Forest, got four and all of a sudden, the quick journal never updared with the fifth. After killing like 10 more asps, I looked in my real journal and there it was "Speak to Coucellor Vellin" @.@

I ran around clicking the citizenship signs in Qeynos and in WW and anywhere else I saw them and never got the application. This means that I must not have triggered it back in WW somehow.

I did talk to the stewart, go to my room, get my table, open the bank account, go to my room, hang the painting, etc. I must be missing something. But at least the process is beginning to beginning to make sense >; )
